Lizzy Pond: Educational Consultant and Tutor

About Lizzy Pond

Educational Philosophy

Lizzy Pond has worked in special education for over 15 years. Lizzy’s educational philosophy centers around giving students and educators what they need to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom. She develops engaging lessons for both students and adults. Lizzy delivers information in a structured, organized, and sequential manner, while taking into consideration the needs of the learners in front of her. She creates a safe and supportive environment where there is a sense of trust, comfort, and collaboration. She supports continued learning by seeking and building her own personal education as a lifelong learner.

Lizzy's experiences as a non-traditional learner inspired her to become a special educator. Diagnosed in middle school with dyslexia, she has empathy for all types of learners. She has an appreciation for students with learning disabilities as she truly understands the obstacles the students face.
